I try and do a charity post once a year.
This year will be kind of different. It’s quite easy to be overwhelmed be the big picture. Everywhere you look there always seems to be someone asking you for money for various (worthy) causes and asking for your time to help fundraise and what not. Often we see only the big picture and see only that; natural disasters become only about how many that die, diseases the number of death they cause. Often (rightly so in many cases) we rank these problems in order of how many people it affects.
But sometimes we have to take a step back and ask ourselves what we are trying to do.
It’s easy to be lost in the numbers and forget about the people behind the number. The stories, the faces, the names that are affected by this problem, we forget the meaning behind charity.
This video is about a lady; a single lady, out of millions who are suffering undeservingly, inhumanely and without much hope.
The youtube community is trying to make this video go viral and help her out. I’m not sure how much help will come out of it but in this post, I just want to show that I care even if, I’m only helping one person today.
Because that’s the meaning of charity, simply caring.
