So when I back my car out of the driveway, there's never a car to back into. The neighbors across the road, never has a car on the road. Increasingly, I stop checking my rear view mirror when I back out of the driveway because yolo right.
My parents have been away for the last week and its really nice that all my friends have been making sure I'm not lonely at home by myself. Which is really nice of them. Its amusing that a few of them don't think I can function by myself at home with the food and motivation to do anything. I mean, one of them I do better than the other. (GOOD SEGWAY JACKSON)
AND ITS PROBABLY NOT THE ONE YOU THINK.
Maturity is probably not what I think it is. Just because you can cook something every night and solve problems without your parents to provide that safety net. Its more the, what to do in those 50-50 situations, what to say, the ability to see problems before they come around and to simply not have those problems in the first place.
Those things comes later, but a grounding of practical life skills comes before. Knowing where the problems could come from, what's going on in the society around us and even having the audacity think you can solve the problem without assistance.
So, swotvac. This is fun. Nawt. Like really, when I don't go out much, I really don't have enough to write and thats really sad. Like, if I don't have a 1000 words to write once a week, that's sad. Literally, there's not enough going on in my own life, that I don't have 1000 words to write about. That's really not great, hey?
The Rio Frozen sprite and maccas taste really bad. If it had cost more than a dollar I would have probably asked for my money back. I know what it feels like to be on the other side of the counter, and dealing with people like me who wants to whine and complains as much I do.
Ok, its quite possible no one whites and complains as much as I do, but people behind the counter deals with a lot. Really, there's only so much we could do in the 30 seconds that it takes to serve someone. It is character building and you do get those moments which are nice. You do learn to make a lot of small talk, keep conversations moving and learn how much you can can learn about someone in 30 seconds.
And you get to deal with people like me. I think that's the part of best of the job, dealing with those happy customers.
Fix all their petty problems, deal with all crap that they may or may not have had that day, deal with how much of a terrible person they all are. Which isn't to say, all customers are like me right.
Small minority, some, a few.
You learn a bit about what sets you off, what you find annoying, what you find endearing in people, the people you can work with, people that you can't and everyone in between. You learn a lot of life skills and the maturity to walk away from things and laugh at really bad and terrible jokes.
Then steal them for yourself .
