Short 1 - Let's Go!

*Shoutout to the First XI SKC soccer team. Wonderful effort, unlucky not to get a second goal.*

Hey Guys! I've decided not to play tetris anymore until November. so that I don't waste my time aimlessly too much. Instead I'll be updating during the week. The short series will be just me rambling with a with quirks. I least I get something out of blogging.

So few wtf's been happening. The school term started and with it brought homework. Yay! But that's not the wtfs.

Our year level is finally get jumpers. They're varsity Jackets and they look incredible. HUGELY EXPENSIVE and to be honest I'm not sure whether I agree with getting one.

Anyway I need to think of a name. I've had so many nicknames over the years but none of them have really stuck.

  • Year 6 Jackass
  • Year 7 Chuck (look at the guy whose initial is 'AT', NOT GOSSIP GIRL RELATED)
  • Year 8 Jackamo
  • Year 9 CHANG
  • Year 10 Quackson
  • Year 11 Jackson Chenson
  • Year 12 ...

I have no idea to be honest.

Exodia suggested Jack Jack (Incredibles).

Jack Jack! Certain resemblance there.

Dardas suggested the Jumping Jack! Which actually has a lot of amusing connatation because when you play those silly "remember your name" I usually think of Jumping.

How to do a Jumping Jack!

Sallyannie suggested Jackie Chan. I know a lot of you guys have called me that.

OMG. What should I get?

Obviously Golduck is a great candidate. I mean after all it has been my MSN name this year. Someone awesome suggested I should spell it Goldduck. I'm also thinking about LOLduck. There's my usual gaming name, Hijacker, Hijackoff, Hijack. But none of them seem all that much like me. And then there's your usual Jacko, Whacko, Whacko Jacko variants. I should just get Jack's Jacket.

What's in a name?

Man I'm always been so excited to get one of these. I remember in year 6 getting that year 6 jacket was like AWESOME. I was so excited too! Basically these jackets makes you feel part of a group. Your own personal name contrasted against your school's name. At University Melbourne Extension Math program today we were discussing (amogest other things) what really hold the sentimentality to this year level. Will it be this Jacket? Or will it be the year 12 jumpers. No one really knows until we leave.

And really this is the message of this post. We do not know the legacy that we will leave behind. We don't know whether our year group will exceeds the extraordinary expectations that has been set before us. It is only when we leave the school and we look back we will know.

Term 3 has been termed the "business end" by our esteemed leader. So let's make the most it. It is going to be hell. But hell is no match for us together. (I sound like a power ranger.)
