Photo Chain 5 - Water: Ashley Davies (It's bokeh)
Hey Guys! As we strive towards final exams we are now finally fine-tuning each subject increasingly towards perfecting. The tuning of perfection in itself an oxymoron. we strive for so much , to be amazingly incredible asking for perfect marks or at least as close to perfect as possible.
Perfection is something we all strive for, something which stays in our mentality seemingly unattainable. We strive for perfection and in the hope of getting close we hope to have achieved enough.
Perfection is something we will all fail to achieve, yet perfection is something we should all strive for.
Because in failing, we have achieved enough.
Hopefully it'll be enough for everyone. But particularly ourselves.
Alright, a few changes. You'll notice that my headers is different. Thank You so very much Jo! I thought it was time for a change and there's something about it looking more professional. I've also removed the auto play feature on the music. So if you want to hear music you're going to have to scroll down and hit play.
I've also written a review for their website. You can find the site for the product here. Please, please, please give me feedback on these changes and whether you like my review.
Short 11 - Perfection and a Review
SnapIt is a piece of software developed by Digeus. It allows you to quickly take screenshots of exactly what you see on the screen and then automatically save it. In essence its just a really simple print screen button with an inbuilt crop function.
SnapIt is an extremely small file with (1.17mb) and takes up practically no RAM. As such you can have it running in the background whilst you’re web browsing and you will not notice it at all.
Using it is a breeze, just set your shortcut and then minimize it. Whenever you want to take a picture of your screen just hit that shortcut. Then drag a box around whatever you want to take a picture of. SnapIt crops screen dumps for you.
After you drag the box around whatever you want, it automatically saves it to a folder you previously specify. You can choose between any of the usual format (jpeg, bmp, tiff, gif) e.t.c.
This is where SnapIt shines. You don’t have to hit ctrl v in paint or anything and then save it. Also if you paste it in paint and then save it, by default its a bitmap file which is completely useless for uploading onto the web. Using it SnapIt you don’t have manually change the file type every single time.
If you don’t want to automatically save the screen dump, you can save the screen dump wherever you want. The screendump also replaces whatever you had on your clipboard so beware of that. Obviously you can use this to your own advantage.
I would have been very impressed if you can draw a region instead of it being a rigid rectangle. This isn’t a big set back, but for the price (18 dollars.), I would have liked to see something special to justify the price. You also can’t set a predefined size and take a picture of that size every time.
In essence for 18 dollars you get
• The time you waste pasting print screen into paint
• The time you spend cropping that print screen
• The time you waste selecting file format and deciding where to save it.
What you can't do without SnapIt is take multiple screenshots within a few seconds. Because SnapIt automatically saves files you can take multiple screeshots within a few moments and not worry about saving it to paint or anything.
Whilst it is extremely easy to use, for the current price I wouldn’t buy SnapIt unless the time you spend listed stretches into the hours. Even for a weekly blogger, I couldn't justify spending 18 dollars on it.
