Not really.
But it is fairly awesome shutting myself from the rest of the world for a few weeks and just concentrating on getting rid of my lengthy to do list. I've been wanting to do a Firey Warpath run in mousehunt for a while...
I'm joking, joking...
I get to go through all my photos from last year and this year. There were a lot of photos that I missed last year.
I've also noticed that half my blog's photos are now defunct because facebook decided to change all its permalink photos.
NO ONE DECIDED TO TELL ME AND NOW LIKE HALF MY BLOG IS SCREWED. Which is annoying.
Seriously, I don't post without a good image now.
So the tennis has been on and I've been following quite closely. There is something about tennis that's more intense than other sports especially team sports. Something about seeing individuals competing directly against each other. Apparently adding many people makes it less enjoyable for me.
There's something more enjoyable when you see everyone is responsible for their own success and their own demise. Yet, for some reason I've always enjoyed playing team sports more. Hockey, Soccer, DotA...
And on the other side of the spectrum, we have Lance Armstrong. So many tour victories, an Olympic medal and other championships. He was a leader of a team, an icon of a sport but probably most distressing, he was an inspiration to so many.
There's the biggest joke. He goes on a talk show to bring back his credibility.
I'm not the most forgiving person in the world by any stretch of the imagination. I know some of your are gasping in shock, so you should take this with a grain of salt.
I for one cannot forgive someone for pretending to be the inspiration for millions around the world, because that's all that he's been doing. When your entire career, your entire world is built on lies and drugs how can anyone even have the nerve to ask for forgiveness. Just strip him of damn titles, make him bankrupt and shame him for the rest of his life.
All the competitors who he rode with and against, go ask them for forgiveness.
Ask them whether being beaten by a cheat after all the hours of working hard, riding endless kilometers just to compete with the best and now realise their poster boy was a complete cheat.
Next time he waves to his fans... yeah good luck with that.
And don't get me started on all that money that was donated to his charities.
