Half-hearting It

Hey guys! What a lovely week we've just had. The weather for once has come out given us something good for a change. Hopefully the end of winter is around the corner.

A few things happened this week. By the time I post this The International 3, a 2.8 million USD  tournament will have completed . In a scene which was has been dominated by the Chinese for many, many years, this year will mark the end of the Chinese dominance in the professional scene.

Bear with me, I'll get to my point

I've played the game and watch the professionals play it enough so that I understand and I'm confident in when I say, I know what whats going on. Over the years, I've noticed that once I get to this stage in any of my hobbies, my interest in it starts to wane and I move on to something else.

By no means am I the best. I just understand what's happening.

Most of the time.

And maybe thats it, maybe, my interest dies off because I'm scared to try harder and then failing. I mean its the same with photography for example. I understand what makes an appealing photo to most people, but I've never tried very hard to improve my own photography.

Which really isn't great. Basically I'm just half-arsing a lot of thing that I do. Or I just commit to it half way and then be like, screw it just don't want to do it anymore.

So yeah, I saw some of the results coming, but by no means could I play to the levels of the professional. And I'm not sure I could even if I tried.

And that's the sticker, for a lot of things.

-sigh- you're not the only one. Don't you ever feel really disappointed? I mean, I always feel disappointed because I'm like you said, 'half-arsing' a lot of the things I do. At the beginning, I'm really excited and ecstatic, but later on... hah. You get the gist. I sure hope this attitude won't affect my work ethic in the future.
