Don't Be So Angry at the World

Does anyone else go on the facebook and go on the line in general and find something stupid about the world? Ooo, look at this, Trump said something stupid, ISIS blew up something old or Tone Abbot is still in politics; we all do it. With the advent of magnets, information beams and electricity, it's super easy to find all these news stories.

Remember when we were like, 10? And there were fewer magnets, fewer facebooks and information, we all didn't have so much access to dumb posts (and definitely no Tone) life was still okay. Things felt a little more positive. We scoff at stupid things and go "look at this guy with the comb over, just cause you have like 2 billion dollars doesn't mean you get to build a fence across America. Really, that's stupid. Also when is my payday?" but we also need to not actively look for stupid things, just because it's easy to find stupid things and make fun of stupid things. Stupid things makes us comfortable and making the same jokes using the same dumb thing for the five different punch lines.

Which doesn't mean find more stupid things, to make jokes about. At some point we need to try a little harder to go, nah, just going to not read the snide headlines and snide jokes. Instead of sharing, the "Today I f up," maybe share the story how we found water on Mars and gravitational waves. I mean gravitational waves! That's like magnets, except even better!

I'm just saying, we don't need stupid things to go oh yeah, look at me this makes my life better.

We all probably get the same news story, from the same few news source, all painting a similar picture. But it's what we do after, with all the other stories that not everyone gets. That's what should matter a little more.
