Hey guys! It’s been a while since I last blogged. So I’ve got a few pieces of news. Some good, some bad and some just well neutral. (I know Alice, I’m turning into a Vincent and apologising for something on my blog every time.)
Well I suppose I’ll start off with the bad news. I’m going to have to stop my 365. I simply don’t have the time or energy to keep it up, on top of this and University work. Don’t worry, I promise everyone that I’m not going to give up on photography all together, but really it was either this or the 365 that had to go and there’s too much of a reader base here to give up on. I’ll keep uploading my good photos and hopefully you’ll enjoy them. I’ve got a few on my memory card (my spare one, because I lost my primary one... =.= ) that I’ll shop and upload soon.

Another reason I haven’t been taking too many photos, is because I didn’t have much space left on my 300gb harddrive on my laptop. I had 90 gigabytes worth of videos and the 12000 photos, I was down to 5 gb of memory left. I couldn’t put anything more onto my laptop because, the processing was decreasing by quite a bit and I couldn’t run my python code on it. But I’ve now got a 1terabye external hard drive so my computer can now render stuff without taking like a whole day to do stuff.
If anyone wants old movies tell me, and I’ll give you my hard drive or something.

This is the slowest train I’ve ever been on.
First year science is a f!@#$% b!@#$%^& of a course. Whoever said first year had it easy deserve to be killed. There is nothing easy about my course in any of the subject. Except in engineering. Having said that, I can’t say I’m not enjoying myself. I don’t think I’ve been more proud of any piece of work I’ve done when I finally handed in the phase 3 language assignment for informatics. I stayed up till 3 oclock doing it, writing, debugging, writing, debugging and occasionally raging. In the end I think about 600 lines of code? Yes yes, I’m really quite nerdy. The great irony of it was that I was watching the Social Network at the time.
Half way through 3 weeks home alone. Shopping at Box Hill shopping center was interesting. They need to give people driving license except instead of cars for trolleys instead.
I’m was on Swotvac . From my friend Alice’s blog;
“”
“”
Not going to lie, I’m pretty much like her.
But being on Swotvac has made me realise how awesome the group of friends I’m lucky to be in at University. My lunch times would be pretty boring without you guys. Thanks for putting up with me whining.

This period over Swotvac I think has finally marked a change in my life where I’m not going to sit on the fence anymore. I’ve tried sitting on the fence for a few years now and I can’t do it.

The day I travelled on 4 train lines, lost my wallet, saw more of Victoria and more of my stomach (Part 1).
It was the Saturday during the mid-term break. After studying very hard for the whole week (yeah right.) I was very keen to get my drink on and get smashed. (Yes. That’s totally me.)
So I was going to meet up with my friend... let’s call her L. I’m so creative with my names.I was going to meet her at Glen Waverley Train station. Its not the closest train line to me and it was about a 20 minute walk to East Malvern. I needed the exercise after all the study I did that week. We would be travelling out to Tecoma. Aka “The sticks.”
Anyway I left home at about... I want to say 7:00 but I think it ended up being closer to 7:30. Here in Australia, things get dark fast. And the streets are really not that well lit. So here I was enjoying a warm summer nights.
Lol J/k it was winter and it god damn freezing. I had packed my camera, my sleeping bag and a jumper. It weighed a preverbal tonne.
To get to the train station you have to cross a river. Humans being the genius creatures that we are built a bridge across it.
LOL J/K it got washed away.
I had two options. I could walk an extra kilometre taking me an extra 15 minute and subsequently missed the train and I would have had to travel all the way to Tecoma by myself.
Or I could wade across the river in pitch black darkness, unable to see more than a metre in front of me. I didn’t know whether the river was flooded or whether it had dried up because I don’t visit the river often on the account of me studying very hard.
Obviously being the very drunk person I was, I decided to cross the river with the aid of my torch.
By torch I mean my mobile phone screen.
Luckily the river was low and was clean.
Jokes again, it was a storm drain.
Amusing experience. However, because I was very fit from all the studying i had been doing that week, I was able to get through it unscathed. There were stepping stones that I stepped on.
Get to the train station and train is delayed. If I had walked the extra 15 minutes I would have made the train.
I get to Glen Waverley (end of the line). Met up with my friend and we caught the bus together. By now it must have been 9?
The rest of the bus trip to Nudawading and the subsequent train trip to Tecoma was pretty uneventful was pretty uneventful. We both made some pretty amusing jokes about where we were going. “Hey look, I have a rainforest in my backyard quite literally;" stands out as one of the particularly amusing ones.
As soon as we got off the train we found ourselves confronted by some very amicable youth. They were very accommodating to the Asians on the train and certainly didn’t make the train wait a few minutes as they told the Asian that they thought of Asians in Australia.
I having drank my double size red bull drink and made comments about what they had been consuming. “Thats a lot of red bull.”
By this time it was 10pm. It was pitch dark except for the street lights. I swear its scary out there amongs nature and darkness. You never know where a drop bear might... well drop.
Seeing I had made the trip before I totally knew where I was going. L had placed her ample trust in me and called her friend. Unfortunately she didn’t pick up. So we were lost.
Nah, I knew where I was going. As if people think I can be unorganised. I sure as hell printed off a map and certainly wasn't going to wing it.
We got to the party and had a great time. I caught up with a few friends and had fun chatting with them. A few of them I hadn’t seen since high school. So it was really good to catch and seen what they had been up to for the last half a year or so.
As the night wore on I realised my alcohol tolerance was not quite what I expected it to be. I had had a very long day and hadn’t got much sleep the night before. So I got pretty tired. I went to sleep at about 1.
And hopefully I'll continue this next week.
I'll have something more normal over the weekend.
