Hey Guys! Why do we look to the past? Why is it so hard to look towards the future? Are we really so protected by our past that we feel safe by dwelling on it? The past makes us comfortable; in it we see who we are, the reasons for our being and who we are. The future shows us the unknown, what we can become and what we have yet to achieved.
We are daunted by the future as we are daunted by the things which we can't control. We are unsure of what we can become; whether we'll be happy or sad, selfish or selfless, brilliant or a failure. We don't even know whether we'll respect our future selves.
