Short 7 - Photo Chains and talents

This photo reflects the surreality of the Doubtful Sounds. It was a cold day and a perfect reflection had formed. Ahead of the boat were two mountains which seemingly separated as we came closer, revealing a hidden waterway.

So me and a few friends are about to start a photo chain. A photo chain is a series of photo where the photos have to contain a single element from the previous one. Accompanying each photo will be a PhotoGuides! No stranger to my readers.

This ties in nicely with my short about talents. I know a lot of you think I'm wtf at maths. I'm not. Not even close. The only reason, ONLY reason I get 50% of my answers correct is cause I study heaps in maths. I use to be the biggest dero in maths when I was like 4. I actually couldn't count on my fingers. No jokes. Being wtfs at maths is not a talent. It's something which I've had to work really quite hard to be half decent at.

What is a talent is taking pictures like the one above. The two photochaining guys I will be working with are really good at what they do. I doubt either of them has had any formal training. Thats talent, when you have a feel for something thats more than what us ordinary mortals have. We have to work on it day in and day out.

I think the only talent I have is pretty useless. Probably me being empathetic to charity and what not. I mean really why else would I be doing it? And if I have talent, then surely I'm required to use it. AND THEN WE'RE BACK TO THE ENGINEERING VS. TEACHING DEBATE. YAY!

Generally awesome week. Heard some great news. Apparently this blog did something good.

Comments and subscribe. What are your talents?

i accidentally clicked the "good" reaction button and so i clicked the "bad" button to even it out. Anyways, jackson, you dont seem to have distinct talents. you're more of an all-rounder. btw i was shit at maths when i was in primary school as well. i didnt know my times tables properly until yr 5. Hormones kicked in during early high school years and i became good at quite a few things. but i got lazy and my talents have dulled considerably. btw another talent of yours is blogging, although it falls short of hyperbole and a half by a mile and three quarters. feedback: no quotes - kinda disappointed esp since you said that you wound blog one of blair's quotes in that msn convo a while back.

I think what many people regard as talent is in fact the result of many years of hard work. What makes the difference is your enjoyment of something.
I've always been good at english and art, but it could just be due to all the time I've dedicated to developing my skills. I've spent years drawing and reading almost obsessively but because I love doing both of those things so much I haven't seen it as work.
